Diamond Massage

About Me

Hi. My name is Batul. I am a mum of two girls. I am a typical Aquarius and hence very friendly! My main occupation is being a housewife. I have always loved massaging my family since God know when. I thought Id make it my profession whilst doing the hard gritting house work too! And raising the girls! So I did it! I am now a professional qualified massage therapist and reflexologist.

I mainly work from home, where I have a designated, warmly decorated room for my treatments. I only treat ladies and children.

I am unable to do mobile massage treatments from September 2011.

What is a Massage

Massage usually involves touch with or without clothes but also can be applied to the energetic field around the body. Massage can be applied to parts of the body or successively to the whole body, to aid the process of injury healing, relieve psychological stress, manage pain, and improve circulation. When massage is used for its physiological, mental, and mechanical benefits, it is termed "therapeutic massage" or manipulative therapy.

Communication, Ethics, Boundaries

Good communication is essential to effective massage. The client and therapist should discuss the type of treatment expected: intention of the massage, areas to be massaged and to be avoided in full body massage, the amount of pressure that is comfortable, preferred techniques and how they affect the body. The client's medical history and current physical condition should also be discussed. This is called informed consent. Ref: (Fritz: Mosbys Fundamentals).

Reflexology

Reflexology, or zone therapy, is a complementary therapy, intended for use alongside conventional medical care and not as a replacement. It is the practice of stimulating nerves on the feet, hands and ears to supposedly encourage a beneficial effect on some other parts of the body, or to try to improve general health. Reflexology is most commonly performed on the feet, moving on to the hands and/or ears where physical restraints (contraindications), such as veruccas or fractures apply.
